Microrhopias quixensis
The White-breasted Wood Wren (Microrhopias quixensis) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the forests of Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive white underparts and brown upperparts, with a bold white eyebrow stripe and a melodious, flute-like song. These wrens are highly territorial and often forage in the understory, hopping and flitting among the dense vegetation in search of small invertebrates. They are commonly found in humid lowland forests, as well as montane forests up to 2,000 meters in elevation. The White-breasted Wood Wren is not currently considered at risk and is classified as a species of Least Concern by the IUCN.
