White-browed guan

Penelope superciliaris

The White-browed guan is a species of bird found in the tropical forests of South America. It is known for its distinctive white eyebrow and overall brown plumage. These birds are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits and occasionally insects. They are often found in small groups, foraging in the forest canopy. The White-browed guan plays an important role in seed dispersal within its habitat. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and hunting, its population status is currently considered Least Concern by the IUCN.
