White-browed Wagtail, Motacilla maderaspatensis, breeds across the Indian subcontinent in the Oriental Region and is a resident bird there. It is the largest wagtail, and its plumage is marked by black upperparts and white underparts, with a clear white brow, a white wing stripe and white outer tail feathers. It is found near open freshwater and has also taken to towns and cities, where it may nest on rooftops and other man-made structures. It is usually seen in pairs or small groups, often close to water.
