White-cheeked Barbet, Psilopogon viridis, is an Asian barbet of western India in the Oriental Region, placed in the family Megalaimidae and described by Boddaert in 1783. It occurs in forested parts of the Western Ghats, with records also from sections of the Eastern Ghats and nearby hills. Its key feature is a clear supercilium and a wide white stripe on the cheek below the eye. It is closely matched by the brown-headed barbet, but that species has an orange eye-ring.
