White-cheeked Cotinga, Zaratornis stresemanni, is a passerine of the cotinga family found in western Peru, where it is restricted to the Andes. It was first described by Koepcke in 1954 and is the only member of its genus. The species is tied mainly to Polylepis forest on the western slope, with a few records from the eastern side as well. It is largely resident through the year, though some birds move to lower elevations. Its range is patchy, and it is regarded as rare and local.
