White-crested Tiger Heron, Tigriornis leucolopha, is a heron of the family Ardeidae found in Africa from Senegal to the Central African Republic and DR Congo. It belongs to the order Pelecaniformes and was described by Jardine in 1846. Its key feature is the white crest, which can be raised. The bird is also known as the white-crested bittern. It is placed in the monotypic genus Tigriornis.
