White-eared Sibia, Heterophasia auricularis, is a bird of Taiwan in the laughingthrush family Leiothrichidae. It was described by Swinhoe in 1864 and has no subspecies. Endemic to the island, it lives in forest and woodland, breeding in summer at higher elevations and moving lower in winter. It uses evergreen forest, including mixed broadleaf and coniferous stands, and also deciduous woodland in the colder months. It is an elegant, long-tailed bird with a black head, a white stripe through the eye ending in long plumes, deep blue-black wings and tail, and a white wingbar.
