White-eyed Stipplethroat, Epinecrophylla leucophthalma, is a passerine antbird breeding in South America, in southern Amazonia. It was described by Pelzeln in 1868 and belongs to the family Thamnophilidae. In its range it occurs in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru. It is a forest bird of lowland terra firme and transitional evergreen woodland, and it is especially associated with dense undergrowth, dead leaves, vine tangles and palm thickets. In Bolivia it is found mainly in bamboo, while in eastern Peru it also uses forest, and in Mato Grosso bamboo is rarely used.
