White-eyed Vireo, Vireo griseus, is a passerine of the family Vireonidae that breeds in North America and Middle America, including the eastern United States, eastern Mexico, northern Central America, Cuba and the Bahamas. It lives in bushes and shrubs, especially in abandoned fields and overgrown pastures. The bird has a greyish olive head and back, white underparts with yellow flanks, dark wings and tail, two white wing bars on each wing, and white irises set in yellow spectacles. Sexes look alike. Its breeding range also includes south Florida, south Texas, east Mexico and east central Mexico.
