White-faced Nunbird, Hapaloptila castanea, is a bird of western Colombia, central Ecuador and north-western Peru in the Bucconidae family. It lives on the Andean slopes, where it uses humid and wet forest, cloudforest, and the forest edge, often on steep ground and in ravines. It is the only species in its genus and is also known as the white-face puffbird. Its face shows a broad white area above the bill, edged narrowly in black, with chestnut underparts and darker brown upperparts. The sexes are much alike.
