The White-fronted Amazon, also known as the White-fronted Parrot, is a medium-sized parrot native to Central America. It is recognized by its predominantly green plumage, white eye-ring, and red on the forehead and shoulders. These social birds are often found in flocks and are known for their playful and affectionate nature. They are highly vocal and can mimic a variety of sounds. White-fronted Amazons primarily inhabit tropical forests, woodlands, and savannas, and are often seen in agricultural areas. They feed on a variety of fruits, seeds, and nuts. While not currently listed as threatened, habitat loss and capture for the pet trade pose potential threats to their populations.
