The White-fronted Starling (Sturnornis albofrontatus) is a medium-sized passerine bird native to the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. It is characterized by its glossy black plumage, distinctive white forehead, and bright yellow eye. These social birds are often found in small flocks, foraging for insects, fruits, and seeds in a variety of habitats including lowland forests, secondary growth, and cultivated areas. They are known for their melodious and varied songs, often mimicking the sounds of other birds. The White-fronted Starling is currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN, although ongoing habitat loss and degradation may pose future threats to its population.
