These birds are often found in open woodland areas, scrublands, and savannas, where they forage for insects and small invertebrates. They are highly social and often seen in small groups or pairs. The White-headed Cacholote builds dome-shaped nests made of twigs and grass, often placed in thorny trees or shrubs. While their populations are currently stable, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential threats to their future survival.
