White Ibis

Eudocimus albus

The White Ibis is a medium-sized wading bird with a long, curved bill and distinctive white plumage. During breeding season, adults display bright red-orange bills and legs, which contrast with their white bodies. They are often found in coastal wetlands, marshes, and swamps, foraging for food in shallow waters. Their diet consists mainly of small aquatic prey such as fish, insects, and crustaceans. White Ibises are highly social birds and often gather in large flocks, especially during the non-breeding season. They are known for their distinctive honking calls and graceful flight patterns.
