Philemon albitorques

The White-naped Honeyeater is a medium-sized bird native to Australia. It is characterized by its distinctive white nape and yellow patch behind the eye. This species is known for its melodious and varied calls, often heard in the eucalypt woodlands and open forests it inhabits. White-naped Honeyeaters primarily feed on nectar, insects, and fruits, using their brush-tipped tongue to extract nectar from flowers. They are often seen foraging in the canopy and mid-story of trees. Breeding pairs build cup-shaped nests in trees, where they raise their young. This species is known for its agility and acrobatic flight patterns.
