White-naped Yuhina

Yuhina humilis

The White-naped Yuhina is a small songbird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive white patch on the nape, contrasting with its greyish-blue upperparts and white underparts. This species is often found in mixed-species foraging flocks in montane forests, where it flits about in the canopy in search of insects and small fruits. The White-naped Yuhina's melodious calls can be heard as it moves through the forest. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential threats to its populations.
