The White-necked Petrel (Pterodroma cervicalis) is a medium-sized seabird known for its elegant flight and striking appearance. With a wingspan of approximately 95-105 cm, this species has a predominantly dark plumage, featuring a white neck and underparts. They are skilled oceanic wanderers, often seen gliding effortlessly over the open seas. White-necked Petrels are known for their remarkable agility and grace in flight, effortlessly riding the ocean winds as they forage for food. These birds are primarily pelagic, nesting on remote islands and spending the majority of their lives at sea. They are known for their haunting calls that echo across the waves during the breeding season.
