White-necked Raven

The White-necked Raven, also known as the Cape Raven, is a large black bird found in southern Africa. It has glossy black plumage, a distinctive white patch on the nape, and a heavy bill. These intelligent birds are known for their opportunistic feeding habits and are often seen scavenging for food in urban areas. They are highly adaptable and are found in a variety of habitats, including savannas, woodlands, and urban areas. White-necked Ravens are known for their vocalizations, including a variety of calls and croaks. They are considered to be of Least Concern by the IUCN, with stable populations throughout their range.
