White-shouldered Black Tit, Melaniparus guineensis, is a tit in the family Paridae that breeds in Africa from southern Mauritania and Senegal east to southern Sudan and Eritrea, and south to Cameroon and northern DR Congo. It is a resident of coniferous woodlands across this range. Its key feature is a pale eye, which sets it apart from the similar white-winged black tit. It was described by Shelley in 1900 and is placed in Melaniparus rather than the former genus Parus.
