White-shouldered Triller

Lalage sueurii

The White-shouldered Triller, scientifically known as Lalage sueurii, is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. This species is known for its distinctive white shoulder patches and melodious trilling calls. The White-shouldered Triller primarily feeds on insects and occasionally fruits, foraging in the canopy and mid-levels of the forest. It is often observed in pairs or small groups. This bird plays a role in maintaining the ecological balance of its habitat through insect control. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation pose potential risks to its population.
