White-tailed Cisticola, Cisticola anderseni, is a bird of the Kilombero floodplain in central Tanzania. It belongs to the family Cisticolidae and was formally described in 2021 by Fjeldså, Dinesen, Davies, Irestedt, Krabbe, Hansen and Bowie. It was first identified as a distinct species in the 1980s, when Éric Burnier drew attention to it and Neil and Liz Baker later confirmed its status as new.
