The White-tailed Warbler (Pycnopygius ixoides) is a small passerine bird native to the forests and woodlands of central and eastern Africa. This species is known for its distinctive white tail feathers, olive-green upperparts, and yellow underparts. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth, often flicking its wings and tail as it moves. The White-tailed Warbler is a secretive bird, often heard before it is seen, and its melodious song is a characteristic sound of its habitat. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation pose potential risks to its populations.
