The White-throated Caracara is a bird of prey found in the Andes of South America. It has a distinctive appearance with a white throat and breast, contrasting with a dark body and wings. This species is known for its opportunistic feeding habits, scavenging for carrion and also preying on small animals. It is often seen soaring over open habitats, using its keen eyesight to locate food. The White-throated Caracara is a social bird, often gathering in groups to feed and roost. Despite its adaptability, habitat loss and persecution pose threats to its populations.
