Pterorhinus pectoralis
The White-throated Laughingthrush is a medium-sized bird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive white throat and chestnut-colored plumage. These social birds are often found in small flocks, foraging for insects, fruits, and seeds in the dense undergrowth of montane forests. Their melodious calls and lively behavior make them a delight to observe in their natural habitat. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the conservation status of the White-throated Laughingthrush is currently assessed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
