Hirundo leucosoma
The White-throated Swallow (Hirundo leucosoma) is a small passerine bird found in southern Africa. It has a distinctive white throat and a deeply forked tail. These agile birds are often seen in flight, catching insects on the wing. They are highly social and often form large flocks, particularly during the breeding season. White-throated Swallows build cup-shaped nests from mud and grass, often under the eaves of buildings or in other man-made structures. They are known for their acrobatic flight and melodious twittering calls.
