White-throated Tyrannulet, Mecocerculus leucophrys, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family in South America, breeding from Venezuela to northern Argentina. It lives in Andean and other mountain habitats, including humid montane forest, cloudforest, elfin forest, Polylepis woodland, and shrubby clearings and pastures. It is mainly a resident, though it makes some upslope and downslope movements at certain times of year. The species is found across a wide range of elevations, from low mountain levels in Venezuela and Brazil to higher Andean sites in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
