White-tipped Dove, Leptotila verreauxi, is a widespread breeder across Middle America and South America, with a range that extends from southern Texas through Mexico and Central America to western Peru and central Argentina, and also includes offshore islands such as Trinidad and Tobago and the Netherlands Antilles. It lives in scrub, woodland and forest. This dove is a resident species and does not migrate. It is usually seen alone or in pairs, and its tail shows a broad white tip, most clearly from below or in flight.
