White-tipped Quetzal, Pharomachrus fulgidus, is a bird of the Trogonidae family that breeds in northern Venezuela and northern Colombia. It was described by Gould in 1838. The species is known from the mountains of northern Venezuela and the Santa Marta mountains of north-east Colombia. It has two described subspecies, with the nominate form in northern Venezuela and Pharomachrus fulgidus festatus in the Santa Marta range. It is a quetzal, and quetzals are iridescent, colourful birds associated with forests, woodlands and humid highlands.
