The White-vented Myna (Acridotheres grandis) is a large, glossy black bird with a distinctive white patch on its lower back and under the tail. It is native to the forests and woodlands of the Philippines. These mynas are highly social birds, often seen in large flocks foraging for fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. They are known for their loud and varied vocalizations, which they use for communication within the flock. The White-vented Myna is an adaptable species, often found in urban and agricultural areas as well as its natural forest habitat.
