White-winged Parakeet, Brotogeris versicolurus, is a parrot of Amazonia in South America, breeding in the Amazon River basin from southeast Colombia to the river mouth in Brazil. It is a small species with mostly green plumage, and the folded wing shows a yellow rear edge. The clearest field mark is the white patch on the wings, which stands out most in flight. It is also known as the canary-winged parakeet. The species was described by Müller, PLS, in 1776.
