Crithagra leucoptera
The White-winged Seedeater is a small passerine bird native to southern Africa. It is characterized by its distinctive white wing bars and yellow underparts. This species is commonly found in grasslands, savannas, and agricultural areas, where it forages for seeds and insects. The White-winged Seedeater often forms small flocks outside the breeding season, and its melodious song can be heard during courtship displays. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and agricultural intensification pose potential risks to its populations.
