Incana incana
The White-winged Snowfinch, scientifically known as Incana incana, is a small passerine bird found in high-altitude mountainous regions of Central Asia and parts of Europe. This species is well adapted to cold environments, with a thick plumage that provides insulation against the harsh weather conditions. The White-winged Snowfinch is known for its distinctive white wings and grayish-brown plumage, which provides effective camouflage in its rocky alpine habitat. These birds are often seen foraging for seeds and insects on the ground, and they form small flocks during the non-breeding season. Despite the challenges posed by their remote and rugged habitat, the White-winged Snowfinch populations are currently considered stable.
