Whitehead's swiftlet is a small, insectivorous bird found in the Philippines. It has a dark brown plumage with a slightly paler throat and belly. This species is known for its swift and agile flight, often seen darting through the air in search of flying insects. Whitehead's swiftlet nests in caves and cliffs, forming colonies with other individuals. They are highly vocal, producing a series of high-pitched calls. Due to habitat loss and disturbance at nesting sites, the conservation status of Whitehead's swiftlet is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
