Wied's Tyrant-Manakin, Neopelma aurifrons, is a passerine of the manakin family that breeds in south-eastern Brazil. It was first named in 1831 by Wied-Neuwied. The bird is found in coastal eastern Brazil, with records from southern Bahia through eastern Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, and older reports from Rio de Janeiro state. It lives mainly in the interior of humid forest that is little changed or only lightly disturbed, though it also appears at the forest edge. Its range reaches from sea level to 1,000 m.
