Wing-banded Antbird, Myrmornis torquata, is a passerine of the antbird family found in Middle America and South America, including Nicaragua, Panama and Amazonia. It lives in humid lowland and foothill evergreen forest, usually on or close to the ground, and is especially associated with terra firme and hilly country. The bird has a short tail and legs and a compact body, which set it apart from many other antbirds. Its range is split into separate populations, and the species is treated as having two subspecies.
