Woodford's Rail, Hypotaenidia woodfordi, is a bird of the Solomon Islands archipelago. It is found only there, in lowland forest, swamps, rivers, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes and rural gardens. The species is linked with the family Rallidae and was once placed in Hypotaenidia. It is also known as the Guadalcanal rail. Recent genetic work places it within Gallirallus, alongside the Guam rail. It is the only surviving species of Nesoclopeus, and habitat loss is a current threat.
