The Xantus's Hummingbird is a small, vibrant hummingbird species found in the Baja California Peninsula and nearby islands. It is known for its iridescent green and blue plumage, with males displaying a brilliant purple crown. These agile birds are adept at hovering and feeding on nectar from a variety of flowers, using their long, slender bills. They are often found in arid scrublands, coastal areas, and desert oases.
