Yellow-bellied Greenbul

Chlorocichla flaviventris (Smith, A, 1834)

Yellow-bellied Greenbul, Chlorocichla flaviventris, is a bulbul found in eastern, southern and west-central Africa. It lives in subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and dry savanna. The species belongs to the family Pycnonotidae and was first described by Smith in 1834. Three subspecies are recognised, with one in eastern South Africa and southern Mozambique, another ranging from southern Somalia to northern Mozambique, and a third from north-western Angola to western Tanzania, extending into parts of Namibia, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique.
