Yellow-bibbed Lory, Lorius chlorocercus, is a parrot of the southern Solomon Islands, breeding from Guadalcanal to Makira and its satellites, and on Rennell. It was described by Gould in 1856. Its range is limited to the eastern Solomon Islands. The bird is mainly red, with black on the crown and green wings. A yellow band crosses the upper chest, and each side of the neck carries a black crescent. It also has blue-green thighs, dark grey legs, an orange-red bill, dark grey eye-rings and orange irises.
