Amazona collaria
The Yellow-billed Amazon, also known as the Jamaican Amazon, is a striking parrot species with predominantly green plumage, a yellow bill, and red on the forehead and shoulders. These sociable birds are known for their playful and intelligent nature, often forming large flocks in their native Jamaica. They are excellent climbers and adept at using their strong bills to crack open nuts and seeds. Unfortunately, habitat loss and capture for the pet trade have led to a decline in their population, making them a species of conservation concern.
