This species has a slender body, long tail, and a yellow bill. It primarily feeds on insects, especially caterpillars, and is known for its secretive behavior in dense foliage. The Yellow-billed Cuckoo is often found in deciduous woodlands, riparian areas, and orchards. It is a migratory bird, spending winters in South America and breeding in North America. The conservation status of this species is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
