The Yellow-billed Kite (Milvus aegyptius) is a medium-sized bird of prey found in sub-Saharan Africa. It has a distinctive yellow bill, deeply forked tail, and long wings. This species is known for its graceful flight and agility in capturing prey on the wing. Yellow-billed Kites are often seen soaring over open woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands in search of small mammals, birds, and insects. They are highly adaptable and can also be found in urban areas scavenging for food. Breeding pairs build large stick nests in tall trees, where they raise their young. Despite being widespread, the species faces threats from habitat loss and persecution in some areas.
