Yellow-breasted Antwren, Herpsilochmus axillaris, is a passerine bird of the antbird family that breeds in South America from western Colombia to south-eastern Peru. It was described by Tschudi in 1844. It lives in humid evergreen forest, using both the interior and the edges, and is most often associated with the canopy. Its breeding range also includes eastern Ecuador. The species is divided into four subspecies, with separate populations in the Andes of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, including a gap between the Peruvian forms in the east.
