Yellow-breasted Brush Finch

The Yellow-breasted Brush Finch is a small passerine bird found in the highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama. It is characterized by its bright yellow underparts, olive-green upperparts, and a distinct white eye-ring. This species prefers to inhabit the undergrowth of montane forests, where it forages for insects and seeds. The Yellow-breasted Brush Finch is known for its melodious song, often heard during the breeding season. Although not currently classified by the IUCN, its population is believed to be stable within its limited range.
