Yellow-browed Sparrow, Ammodramus aurifrons, is a passerine of the family Passerellidae that breeds in South America from Colombia through Amazonia. It is a small American sparrow first described by Spix in 1825, and it is marked by yellow on the face. It occurs across much of the Amazon basin and is now widespread in grassy parts of the Amazon biome, including farm fields, roadsides and the edges of towns. It is generally a lowland bird, though it has been recorded higher on the eastern side of the Andes and in Ecuador.
