Yellow-browed Warbler

Phylloscopus grammiceps

The Yellow-browed Warbler is a small, insectivorous bird found in the boreal and temperate forests of Asia. It is known for its distinctive yellow eyebrow stripe and olive-green upperparts. This species is highly migratory, breeding in Siberia and wintering in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Its high-pitched, repetitive song is a characteristic sound of its breeding grounds. Yellow-browed Warblers forage actively in tree canopies, often joining mixed-species flocks. They are known for their acrobatic feeding behavior, gleaning insects from leaves and branches. Despite their widespread distribution, their population trends are not well understood.
