Yellow-chinned Spinetail, Certhiaxis cinnamomeus, is a bird of South America, breeding from Colombia to Uruguay. It belongs to the Furnariidae, the ovenbird family. It is a slender species with a long tail, and the sexes look alike. The head and upperparts are chestnut brown, while the underparts are whitish with a pale yellow throat. It was described by Gmelin in 1788. Its call is a shrill rattling. It lives in marshes, mangroves and open woodland near rivers, and builds a large spherical stick nest with a nearly vertical entrance tunnel.
