Yellow-eyed Babbler
Chrysomma sinense
The Yellow-eyed Babbler (Chrysomma sinense) is a small passerine bird found in parts of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive yellow eyes and olive-brown plumage with a white throat and belly. These sociable birds are often found in small flocks, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the undergrowth of dense forests and scrublands. Their melodious calls can be heard as they move through the vegetation. The Yellow-eyed Babbler is known for its agile and acrobatic movements as it searches for food. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation are potential threats to their populations.
