Yellow-faced Parrot, Alipiopsitta xanthops, is a South American parrot that breeds from east-central and south-east Brazil to eastern Bolivia. It belongs to the family Psittacidae and the order Psittaciformes. The species is found in the cerrado region and is the only member of its genus. It was once placed in Amazona and was also known as the yellow-faced amazon. Its name reflects the yellow head and the green-and-yellow plumage described for the bird. It was named by Spix in 1824.
