Yellow-footed Swift

The Yellow-footed Swift is a medium-sized swift with a distinctive pale grey body, slightly forked tail, and yellowish-white underparts. They are known for their swift and agile flight, often seen in small flocks soaring and gliding over open areas. These birds are primarily insectivorous, catching insects in flight using their wide, gaping mouths. They are known to breed in rocky crevices and cliffs in arid and semi-arid regions. The Yellow-footed Swift is a migratory species, spending the winter in South America and migrating north to breed in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico.
